Last Saturday, the Flames kept things rolling on the road with a hard-fought 2–1 victory over the Los Angeles Kings. It was a defensive battle, but Calgary managed to grind out the win to keep their positive momentum moving through the California trip.
However, the road trip ended on a sour note Tuesday night in San Jose. Despite goals from Nazem Kadri, Blake Coleman, and Ryan Lomberg, the Flames couldn’t contain Macklin Celebrini and the Sharks, eventually falling 6–3. The game was tight early on, but a tough third period allowed the Sharks to pull away and snap Calgary’s recent hot streak.
The Flames bounced back in a big way last night at the Saddledome. After falling behind 2–1 heading into the third, Calgary exploded for three unanswered goals to secure a 4–2 comeback win over the Seattle Kraken. Mikael Backlund led the way with two goals, while Nazem Kadri tied the game on a power play and Matt Coronato notched the game-winner just over a minute later. It was also a milestone night, as Jonathan Huberdeau recorded his 800th career point and Rasmus Andersson tallied three assists, including his 200th in the NHL.
The team is now back at the Saddledome for a busy stretch leading into the holidays:
