My apologies, I don’t have time for a complete edition of From Calgary today… However, I NEED to tell you about a sandwich I had yesterday.

With a 4.8 ⭐️ rating, Myhre’s Delicatessen might be underrated. I give it a full 5.0 ⭐️ rating based on the Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich I ate yesterday.

I’m a 3rd-generation Calgarian, born and raised. Yet, somehow, I hadn’t known about Myhre’s Deli, which has been in business for the past 23 years. I went to bed last night feeling sad about all the years I have missed out on eating there! 🤣 Yet, I’m filled with gratitude to have found what might be the only deli I’ve been to that gives Katz's Deli in New York City a run for its money!

I went with the house mustard, double pickles, and the cole slaw. It was all fantastic, as was the vibe in the small shop and neighbourbood.

Drop what you’re doing now and head to Myher’s Deli located at 1411 11 St SW, Calgary, AB T2R 1G7 for lunch today. I’d be SHOCKED if you regretted it.
